mine on monday | grand junction children's photographer

A dear friend reminded me today that I don’t take enough pictures of my own children. In fact, my children are probably the least photographed subjects I have. I know…for a photographer, that’s pretty sad. She reminded me that my children are what got me started in this venture to begin with. She reminded me that images don’t have to be perfect to be cherished. I’m kind of an all or nothing kind of girl. If I don’t have time to give it my all then I tend to give it nothing at all. I’ve made a vow to change that up a bit. For starters, you all are going to see more of my kids. You *might* even get to see Kendra this year. Let’s start with Walker though.

a boy playing with lined up toys

W, we call him that, pronounced dubya, really enjoys his mornings with just his mama while Boo is at school. He and I kind of hang in our jammies all morning, only getting dressed when we have to dash out the door to go get her. Often he plays at my feet with an arm full of toys he’s carried in from another room.

happy bright eyed little boy

W’s my baby. Our last little one. He’s three. He’s my little allergy boy. The kid is allergic to everything. People often ask what I feed him, but we manage. He still sleeps in our bed and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Most days he adores his siblings. Such a sweet, sweet boy…

little boy and his red dragon

but yeah, sweet boy or not, I think the lamb was sacrificed to the dragon.
