Crushing on baby Crush

Meet Crush. Newest brother in a family of four boys. Isn’t that name just adorable. I should have asked his mom where it came from, if it has any other meaning besides the serious crush she must have had on him while he was growing. Crush was a little larger than my typical newborn. I think he weighed in at a whopping eleven pounds for his session! His mom and his grandmother and I were friends instantly, chatting well into the afternoon as Crush slept away, making for a beautiful session. Mom, by the way, is Brook Calhoon from Welcome Home. If you’re new to the area, give Brook a call and she and her team will help you find your way with a basket of goodies full of all sorts of information about our little Grand Valley. Look for a special little goodie in there from Oh Baby! Portraiture.

Mom’s always ask if I bring props and the answer is absolutely! I’m always on the hunt for new, unique things to use in your sessions. Often, if your newborn session is booked while mom is still pregnant, I’ll have time to bring something I’ve never featured before. The green bonnet is from The Nest Shoppe and the adorable elf hat is from Daida L’Orange. Both are made specifically for newborn photography sessions and both are one of a kind creations.
